Pastor Neil Brady BIO

Good day! My name is Neil B. Brady, Pastor of Lutheran Church of the Palms in beautiful Palm Harbor, Florida. Let me begin my sharing that this is a return to experiences and relationships I enjoyed about 13 years ago when I served my internship here. I have often given thanks for the growth and development I acquired under the direction of Pastor Greg Hager and under the leadership of Bruce Anderson and Carol Resinger.
Born and raised in Philadelphia, PA, I am the 2nd oldest in an Irish Roman Catholic family, and a product of 12 years of education in the Catholic schools. Upon graduation, I enlisted in the United States Air Force, and I am a proud veteran of the Vietnam Era. From there, I went on to work as a bookkeeper, accountant, Controller, high school teacher and secondary school administrator. But God had other plans for me. With his urging, and the guidance of the Holy Spirit, I entered Trinity Lutheran Seminary in the fall of 2010 and graduated in 2014.
My first call was to First English Lutheran Church in Wapakoneta, followed by an interim position at Hope Lutheran Church in Marlette, Michigan. But God called me back to a ministry position as Pastor of Peace Lutheran Church in Charlotte, Michigan. All of this has led me to the Lutheran Church of the Palms.
My rock in life is my wife, Sandy who has been my partner for almost 50 years. We have two sons: Jeff, a building contractor who is married to Heather, and is the father of two children, Hannah, a sophomore at Albion College, and Ryan, a junior in high school. Our son Kevin is a Research Attorney currently working in Clearwater, Florida. We are also the proud parents of 2 four-legged kids, Toby and Maizie. We are avid Michigan Wolverine football fans. We enjoy traveling, quiet walks, and definitely the beaches.
We are excited to return to LCOP and begin our ministry together. We do not know what the future holds; but we can be assured that God – through the work of the Holy Spirit – has brought us together, to further the mission of Christ Jesus in our communities and our world. I believe, I know, and I trust we are called together at this time to live out the words of your Visioning Team: Joy for Today! Hope for Tomorrow! Family Forever!
