11th Sunday after Pentecost
Introduction
Apparently not satisfied by Jesus’ feeding of thousands, some who were there press him for a sign of his power; perhaps it is daily manna they want. As always in John’s gospel when people want a sign, Jesus offers himself. He is the bread come from heaven to give life to the world. He calls us to come to him and believe in him, and through that relationship to know the one who sent him.

Join us on August 11th immediately following worship in the sanctuary for our next Congregational Visioning Meeting. The purpose of the meeting is to continue dreaming dreams and together finding new and better ways of "doing church" in the community and current social environment to ensure the health and well-being of LCOP into the future. Again we will limit the meeting to 1 hour and follow it up with lunch in fellowship hall. Please click on the pink link for more information and specific details regarding our next meeting.

are implementing one of your suggestions immediately! Look for the Visioning Views stations. We are placing Index cards at the church entrances and in the fellowship hall. We ask that you use these as one way to communicate your suggestions, comments and questions about the LCOP's short- and long-term future as it relates to this visioning process. Learn more about our outreach partners and projects. We have many opportunities for those who are looking to volunteer and serve within our community and within our church.
Join us on Wednesday evenings in August and September for BBQ dinners and to learn about the programs and services different organizations offer in our community. Here is another way we can become ambassadors and volunteers and help those in our community find resources when they are in need. Barlow Little Palms Preschool began as an outreach ministry of Lutheran Church of the Palms. We have strengthened our relationship with the Preschool over the years and we are proud of the wonderful work this school does in educating and caring for the children of our community in a safe and nurturing environment. Barlow Little Palms Preschool has been providing Christian preschool education in north Pinellas County since 1990. Our preschool offers:
